Overview

Mavericks relished the opportunity to work with director Eli Roth in this magical family comedy. Predominantly tasked with evolving the Laz-E-Boy chair from a practical on set puppet into a fully animated character the Mavericks team were pleased to create visual effects in service of specific specific comedy beats. The team became quite fond of the Laz-E-Boy character and it’s comedic interaction with the cast. One of the team’s favorite moments is an ode to director Eli Roth’s penchant for horror movies in the closing credits of the film.
